Can Mascort Eco Hotel

A sustainable eco-experience of comprehensive well-being

Can Mascort is located in an intimate space, with thick walls, high ceilings and old beams. It is an ecological and healthy hotel, where you can enjoy a few days of rest, nature and harmony.

The hotel is located in the historic centre of Palafrugell, surrounded by three pedestrian streets and with basic services only a few short metres away. Built in a renovated building, listed as historical heritage, Can Mascort has been restored according to the principles of bioconstruction, to recover its essence and become an ecological, healthy and sustainable building.

The ideal hotel for those travellers who share a passion for healthy living and care. Our rooms are spacious and unique, spread out over two floors and with different categories, including family rooms.

15 unique rooms

Each of the 15 rooms at Can Mascort has its own identity and character.

Seven of them (Mercè, Empordanet, Garbí, Arc, Botines, Havaneres and Garoines) are located on the first floor, where the family used to live. They are bright rooms which, in some cases, still have their original hydraulic tile floors or ceiling beams.

The other eight (Cap Roig, Calella, Llafranc, Tamariu, Llofriu, Santa Margarida, Ermedàs and Sant Sebastià) are on the second floor, where the attic of the house was located. In these rooms, the sloping, beamed ceilings have been preserved to create cosy, sunny spaces.

Eco Apothecary

Our store provides natural local products, with the best that nature has to offer at every moment of the year.
The apothecary is located in the old pharmacy of the house, and is open to the general public. There you will find a selection of healthy local products.
In addition, in the afternoon, you can enter the hotel through the Apothecary (open to the public) and enjoy delicious healthy snacks, prepared at Can Mascort.

Caldarium

In Ancient Rome, the caldarium was a room with a hot bath, which formed part of the traditional Roman bath complexes.
The Can Mascort caldarium incorporates this concept to create an intimate space with vaulted stone ceilings, which encourages relaxation and tranquility.
The waters in our caldarium are chlorine-free, and maintain an ideal temperature for a comforting bath that will also help strengthen your immune system.
When staying at Can Mascort, you can reserve this space to enjoy privately.

Solarium Terrace

Located on the third floor of the hotel, the solarium terrace offers beautiful views over the rooftops of the historic centre of Palafrugell, and of the bell tower only a few metres away.

When weather permits, you can enjoy the sun practically all day long on our terrace.

You can also visit our small garden, with herbs and aromatic plants used to prepare healthy breakfasts and snacks at the hotel.

The library and living room is a multipurpose space, where you can sit and read, enjoy the peace and quiet and talk, play board games, etc.

In our library, you will find books on bio-habitability, sustainability, healthy eating, personal development and more. As a hotel guest, you borrow any one you want to read during your stay.

The library is open to our guests, and can also be reserved as a private space to hold small meetings.
